Rose McIver Signs On to Star in The CW's iZOMBIE

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rose McIver has signed on for the lead role in The CW's upcoming comic book-based TV series, "iZombie. The actress will play the role of Liv, who is described as "a medical student-turned-zombie."

Malcolm Goodwin will take on the role of police detective Clive, who partners up with the lead character Liv after her abilities help him solve a multitude of cases. Also in the cast are Alexandra Krosney as Liv's best friend Peyton; Robert Buckley as Major, Liv's former fiance; and "Alias" alumn David Anders as the antagonist Blaine.

"Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero will executive produce the series, based on the comic created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred.

McIver is best known for her roles in "Once Upon a Time" and "Masters of Sex".
