For native New Yorker Brooke Moriber - the singer/songwriter, rocker, and accomplished Broadway sensation who's had a knack for stage performance since she was a young starlet - it seems 2016 is set to be yet another year of milestones, including helping the fight against Epidermolysis Bullosa and dropping her brand new single "Up All Night".

Recent shows have earned Brooke glowing reviews applauding her "huge vocals" and original pop songs that are "destined for high rotation", and with 7 Broadway shows to her resume, roles opposite such stars as Lili Taylor, Kristen Johnston, Cyndi Lauper and Alan Cumming- she's garnered many accolades as a dynamic performer on stage, film and TV. Brooke has had the opportunity to perform her music on East and West coasts, gracing the stages of some of NY and LA's most legendary venues such as The Knitting Factory, Joe's Pub, The Cutting Room, Pianos, Arlene's Grocery, Genghis Cohen and Room 5. There's no doubt Brooke Moriber will continue her rise as a stage sensation in 2016. But with a cause like Epidermolysis Bullosa research so near and dear to her, the Rockwood show is sure to help make an incredible impact as well.

She'll make her long awaited return to Rockwood Music Hall- Stage 2 at 8:00PM on Monday, February 29th to help raise funds and awareness for the EB Research Partnership by releasing her song "Fire" and donating all proceeds to the organization! Coupled with such electrifying special guests as The Slim Kings Feat. Legendary Drummer Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel) set to start off the night and another performance at Mercury Lounge April 20th; 2016 is looking like an exciting and impactful year for the talented starlet!

EB Research Partnership (formerly Jackson Gabriel Silver Foundation) is the largest 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to funding research aimed at treating and ultimately curing Epidermolysis Bullosa, a group of devastating and life-threatening skin disorders that affect children from birth. An individual with EB lacks a critical protein that binds the layers of skin together. Without this protein, the skin tears apart, blisters and sheers off, leading to severe pain, disfigurement, and wounds that never heal. EB affects the body inside and out. Blisters occur all over the body, as well as in the eyes, mouth, esophagus, and other internal organs. EB causes severe pain, disfigurement, and in too many cases, an early death from an aggressive form of skin cancer. It is estimated that EB affects at least one in every 20,000 births. EB is not specific to any ethnicity or gender. Given that EB affects only 30,000 people in the US, advancing this research relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations.

With donor support, EB Research Partnership has been aggressively and efficiently funding research since 2010. To date, they have raised over $8 million for research grants and been instrumental in securing an additional $35 million for critical EB research. The organization helped to create and continues to support research enabling infrastructure to ensure that treatments will get to those in need as swiftly as possible, and with stars like Brooke Moriber bringing more awareness to the disorder it can only help in the fight.
