Rochelle Gadany Releases Historical Fiction, DESTINY AND DESIRE

This year marks the historical 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. It is this war that is the background of author Rochelle Gadany's most recent book, "Destiny and Desire" (published by AuthorHouse).

It is the year 1812. Shortly after Christa Devereax arrived in London to visit her aunt and uncle, the United States declared war on Great Britain. Although most of the fighting is along the Canadian border, the Royal Navy is attempting to cripple commerce by blockading the American coast. In addition, pirates and privateers roam the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, making travel very dangerous. All the while, Christa just wants to go home.

Handsome American privateer Shane Coulter is bold enough to ignore the danger and run the blockade with smuggled goods and mail to deliver. When he arrives with letters from her father, she is determined to go home with him. Unfortunately Shane agrees with her uncle that it's far too dangerous.

Christa knew there would be trouble when she defied all objections and managed to get aboard Shane's ship, but she didn't expect it to come from her own dangerous desire for the handsome rogue.

Destiny and desire lead them from a moonlit beach in Jamaica to a masked ball in New Orleans and a wild chase on the Natchez trace.
