Xander Green, young musical theatre composer and student of Marsha Norman (The Secret Garden, The Color Purple), Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Last Five Years) and Grammy-award winning Herschel Garfein, will receive a debut concert for his solo work at the Laurie Beechman Theatre Tues., Dec. 3 at 7:00 pm.

The concert will feature special guests and Broadway vets Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening), F. Michael Haynie (Wicked), as well as close friends and colleagues of Green.

According to press notes, "Green's music is influenced by early rock, and focuses on heavily on stories the artist believes need to be told. Green values relevant content, heartfelt imagery and music that speaks through the current pulse of America."

Green will be backed by his band, including Eric Stockton (Soul Dotor), Peter Hodgson (Pippin), Tom Jorgensen and Lloyd Kikoler.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at http://www.westbankcafe.com/beechman_theatre.html, or at the door the evening of the concert for $15. The Laurie Beechman Theater is located at 407 West 42nd Street, at the corner of 9th Avenue.
