Reggie Watts to Appear at Town Hall as Part of BLUE NOTE JAZZ FESTIVAL, 6/18
Comedian/ vocalist/ beatboxer/ actor / musician/ improvisor extraordinaire Reggie Watts will be performing his highly-anticipated, first full NYC show of the year this summer. After a sold out show at Irving Plaza last December, Reggie will be bringing his mindblowing improvisional mix of music and comedy to NYC's Town Hall for a headlining show on Wednesday, June 18 as part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival. Next month, Reggie can be seen in the new season of IFC's hit surrealist talk show COMEDY BANG! BANG! which premieres Thursday May 8 at 10:30pm ET. Back for a 3rd season as the show's one man band and Scott Aukerman's musical cohort, Reggie will be creating his signature beats and joining Scott on all-new adventures including holiday-themed episodes, a turtle expert, home renovation makeovers, time travel, plate spinning, catfishing, an unexpected natural disaster and much more. The new season features the return of the popular webseries "Reggie Makes Music" which has previously paired Reggie in does impromptu duets with some of Comedy Bang! Bang!'s guests including Zach Galifianakis, John Hamm, Amy Poehler, Andy Samberg, Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Elizabeth Banks and many more.
Elsewhere, Reggie can be seen and heard in new music ventures including his sublime "Brownsville Girl" cover on the new Bob Dylan tribute album, as guestvocalist on new tracks from Joan as Policewoman and Cibo Matto, and in Yoko Ono's music video "Bad Dancer." This June Reggie opens for Nick Drake in Canada.
