Rebecca Faulkenberry, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, and Carrie Manolakos Will Lead Industry Reading of ALIVE!

Rebecca Faulkenberry (Groundhog Day), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music), and Carrie Manolakos (Mamma Mia) will lead a closed industry reading of the new musical ALIVE! by Josh Canfield on March 21.

Rounding out the cast are Scott Stangland (The Great Comet, Once), Heath Saunders (Jesus Christ Superstar LIVE), Lauren Zakrin (Rock of Ages), Chris Dawn (Finding Neverland), Matthew Labanca (Young Frankenstein), Lindsay Roberts (Memphis), and Josh Canfield (The Great Comet, CBS' Survivor). Music supervision by Matt Doebler (The Great Comet, Jagged Little Pill).

After a sold-out concert at Ars Nova this summer lead by Tony- Nominee Denee Benton and Grace McLean, Alive! the musical continues its journey toward The Great Way with a reading and a workshop, followed by a Lab next season.

ALIVE! The Zombie Musical follows a handsome and thoughtful hero who comes to the realization that he is...a zombie. This propels him on a comedic and mystical journey with a depressed anchorwoman, a quirky reporter, and a love infatuated cameraman, as he searches for his lost humanity. Tracking closely in their pursuit is a pack of bloodthirsty, brainless zombies led by the ferocious and terrible, Big Z, who will stop at nothing to keep the group from finding the life they desire.
