ROOM's Brie Larson has won the 2016 Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. This was her first Oscar nomination.

About the film: Brie Larson portrays Ma, a woman held captive in a small shed for seven years, who strives to create a normal life for her young son.
