The Prescott Center for the Arts will hold its 2014 Young Playwrights Festival on April 6th at 4pm and 6pm. TIckets are $7.

The following playwrights, whose plays will be produced at the festival, are:

First Place: SAILING THE HIGH SEAS by Taylor Whittemore*

Second Place: UNDER THE RUG by Sedona Ortega*

Third Place: STAGE HAND by Glory Glidden*

A DIFFERENT NOTE by Johan Glidden*

A HERO'S SACRIFICE by Matthew Lanning*

IT'S TENSE by Devon Bonelli*

RING AROUND THE ROSIE by Sara D'Alessandro

*Previously produced Festival Playwrights

Winning playwrights will receive participation certificates, trophies and cash awards (First, Second and Third places), a YPF canvas tote bag and assorted items from local merchants. The Grand Prize Award Winner and the Audience Choice Award Winner will receive trophies and cash prizes selected by an independent panel of judges and from audiences from both performances, respectively. Ages of the winning playwrights range from 10 years to 16 years with one musical.
