The Possum Point Players are seeking directors for their 2015 season. Interested directors should obtain director's applications from Jim Hartzell at jlhart8@mchsi.com, or (302) 856-6166-H or (302) 381-4898. Director's will be chosen for the following shows and approximate time frames for 2015:

Winter Comedy - Almost, Maine by John Cariani - (Dramatists Play Service) - Welcome to Almost, Maine, almost not in the United States; almost in Canada, and almost doesn't exist. Its residents never got organized. So it's just...Almost. One winter night, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, will never be the same.

Spring Dinner Theater: Leading Ladies by Ken Ludwig - (Dramatic Publishing) - Hilarious comedy about two English Shakespearean actors so down on their luck that they are performing "Scenes from Shakespeare" on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. The trouble is, when they get to York, they find out that the relatives aren't nephews, but nieces!

Summer Drama: To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee - (Dramatic Publishing) - The widely acclaimed story of Atticus Finch, a lawyer in the Depression-era South, who defends a black man (Tom Robinson) against an undeserved rape charge, and his kids (Scout and Gem) against prejudice.

Fall Musical - Hairspray, Music by Marc Shaiman; Lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and Book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan - (Music Theater International) - Hairspray is a family-friendly musical piled bouffant high with laughter, romance, and deliriously tuneful songs. It's 1962 in Baltimore, and the lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire -- to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show. When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network, all without denting her 'do!

Christmas Show - The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge by Mark Brown - (Dramatic Publishing) - The Trial of the Century! A year after his miraculous transformation, Ebenezer Scrooge is back to his old ways and is suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping, slander, pain and suffering, attempted murder and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. The ghosts employ Solomon Rothschild, England's most charismatic, savvy, and clever barrister. Scrooge, that old penny pincher, represents himself. Following one fateful breakdown on the witness stand, Judge Stanchfield Pearson gives his verdict: Jacob Marley and the Spirits of Christmas, guilty!
