Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company will present an Equity Staged reading of Jerrod Bogard's Top Load and Other Plays February 29 at 7pm. The reading will take place at Walker Space, 46 Walker Street, New York City. The reading is free and open to the public.

Bogard's new one-act cycle runs audiences through a gauntlet of four dramatic set pieces in which each play's supporting character becomes the protagonist of the next, following a meticulously arranged trail of domestic hopes and regrets, illuminating the hidden lives of strangers at once beautiful, comic, and grotesque.

Jerrod Bogard is Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company's 2015 Playwright Fellow. Top Load was developed over the course of a year and a half workshop process with funding in part by the Dramatist Guild of America.

Top Load and Other Plays features Suzan Perry (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Nick Lawson (Amoralists Theatre Company's Collision and The Bad and Better), Janie Martinez, Fred C.L. Mann III (Broadway's Merlin and Sweet Charity), Lea McKenna-Garcia, Eric Doss, and James Foster Jr. Top Load and Other Plays is directed by Kenny Wade Marshall (PCTC's Love Song). Playhouse Creatures artistic director is Joseph W. Rodriguez.

Playhouse Creatures Theatre's current Off-Broadway production of Tennessee Williams 1982 continues to run at Walker Space through March 13th, 2016. More info can be found at www.playhousecreatures.org
