Standing Ovations Coverage: Rehearsal | Performance | Backstage | After-Party! | Opening Video

Photos by Linda Lenzi and Craig Brockman for BroadwayWorld.com

Village Voice columnist and 'NY Icon' Michael Musto served as co-host

Stephanie J. Block (currently Liza in The Boy From Oz)
opens up the show (after Marc Shaiman's video) with
"He Touched Me"

The beautiful and passionate Felicia Finley
sings Brian Lowdermilk's "No Apparent Reason"

Alison Fraser explains that it hasn't all been
a bed of roses for her and her career....

...because she's never been on "Law & Order"

Broadwayworld's own, Scott Nevins keeps things moving
as co-host for the benefit

Cheyenne Jackson sings a stirring "Feel"

New mommy, Erin Leigh Peck (DOTV, I Love You, Your Perfect...), explains
why her doll is a tramp in the humorous "My Barbie"

Kate Shindle gets ready to sing a very rousing "Love Me For What I Am"

Followed by "infamous" message board fave Eddie Varley
singing a very Leo Bloomesque "Parsley"

...to thunderous applause
(and having a birthday the same day never hurts!)

Laura Bell Bundy (currently Glinda standby in WICKED)
belts "Joy To The World"

...and has the whole crowd clapping along!

Bill Weeden and William Tost who finished the run of
the hit "The Fantasticks" sang the clever "NO"

Sriram Ganesan (Bombay Dreams) treated the benefit audience
to a cut number from his show, "I Should Have Told You"

Sriram again

Matt Cavenaugh (Urban Cowboy and most recently Jimmy on
tour in Thoroughly Modern Millie) shares a little secret about..

"Making Love Alone"

Susan Egan (Millie) ends Act 1 with an amazing rendition
(and thunderous applause) of Maybe This Time from Cabaret.

Kim Cea keeps everyone in stitches talking about
everything including emails, Costco and Barbra Streisand

Max von Essen wows the crowd with a very heartfelt
rendition of "Only In New York" from Thoroughly Modern Millie...

...which has the crowd going wild as he hits his last note

Cheyenne Jackson takes to the stage again, this time
singing "Joey, Joey, Joey"

Raymond Jaramillo McLeod (Drama Desk Nominated for Wonderful Town)
banters with the audience...

...before being joined by Lyn Philistine for "Water Is Wide"

and then an energetic George Merritt joins in to lead the trio
(and the crowd) in "Muddy Water"

Stephanie J. Block returns to the stage to sing
Scott Alan's touching "Never Never Land"

The enormously talented and beautiful Stephanie
has the crowd in the palm of her hand...

Reprising a song she hasn't sung in 12 years,
Laura Bell Bundy proves she was "Born to Entertain"
- complete with dance break!

Kate Shindle is joined by composer Michael J. LaChiusa
for "See What I Want To See" (from R Shomon)

The incomparable MJ LaChiusa!

Stage legend, Andrea McArdle sings a joyous
rendition of "The Trolley Song" from Meet Me In
St Louis

Mandy Gonzalez closes the show with "Don't Look Back"

Co-hosts Scott Nevins and Michael Musto thank the
crowd for coming and auction off dinner for two to
Tony's DiNapoli with Avenue Q's Jennifer Barnhart and
TONY Nominee, John Tartaglia....which goes for $1,000!!

Did we say Mandy closed the show? Not exactly...
Toxic Audio (now Off-Broadway with their show LOUDMOUTH)
raced from their Sunday evening performance just in time
to Raise the Roof off of Joe's Pub with a spectacular
finale of "Turn The Beat Around"

Cast members raced from backstage to catch the finale

An incredible evening was had by one and all

Rene, Shalisa, Jeremy, Michelle and Paul thank everyone
for coming out for the first BroadwayWorld.com
Standing Ovations Benefit Concert!

A positively glowing Mandy Gonzalez

Scott Nevins invites everyone over to FEZ
