Photo Flash: Broadway Star Nala Hamilton Chats With Actors Connection Kids & Teens Camp

Young performers attending Actors Connection Performing Arts Summer Camp had a special meet and greet with Broadway's Nala Hamilton yesterday, Tuesday, July 26, 2017. Check out part one of their interview, click here to watch the video!

Nala, age 11, answers questions about what inspired her to act and her life before Broadway. She also talks about what she does with the little free time she has off-stage and gives motivating advice to up-and-coming performers.

In addition to meeting Broadway stars, young performers at Actors Connection's (AC) Camp also train with top Casting Directors including Jen Rudin (known for "Disney" castings), Eve Battaglia (Oscar-Nominated), Barry Shapiro (over 8,500 commercials cast) and more.

Walid Chaya, Associate Member of the Stage Directors Choreographers Society, directs the program.

The program features a jam-packed week of on-camera events for young actors, like having talent star in their own short scene, act in different film and television styles, plus, a complimentary headshot session with professional NY Photographer Maria Wilson. It's the young actors ultimate dream-camp!

Up-and-coming talent also showcase with Talent Agents, this July's line-up includes CESD, DDO, and AboutFace Talent Agency. Through this program talent may find representation or showcase to a casting director that could jump-start their acting career.

While the Performing Arts Camp is exclusive to the summer season, AC produces on-camera events and master classes year-round. Actors Connections mission to inspire these youngsters, provide them with tools for success and connections with some of NY's most appreciated and talented professionals.
