A Stone Carver, a new play by William Mastrosimone (Extremities, The Woolgatherer), opened at Off-Broadway's Soho Playhouse on July 27th after beginning previews on July 18th; it runs through September 3rd.  Among those present at the opening night party were Kelly Bishop ("Gilmore Girls," A Chorus Line).

Dan Lauria ("The Wonder Years," Off-Broadway's The Guys) Stars in the play, which is directed by Robert Kalfin (Yentl, Happy End on Broadway).  Set in '70s New Jersey, the play concerns the title character (played by Lauria), whose home is threatened by the construction of a new highway. A Stone Carver also features Jim Iorio and Elizabeth Rossa, who were previously seen in the play when it premiered at the Passage Theater Company in Trenton, NJ.
