Photo Coverage: SubUrbia Opening Night

Eric Bogosian's SubUrbia opened at Second Stage on September 28th after beginning previews on September 7th; it runs through October 29th. A party celebrating the opening was held that night at Planet Hollywood.
The show stars Kieran Culkin (films such as Igby Goes Down, Off-Broadway's After Ashley and The Moment When), Gaby Hoffman (Third, films such as You Can Count On Me), Diksha Basu, Jessica Capshaw (Fat Pig), Michael Esper (Manic Flight Reaction), Halley Feiffer, Daniel Eric Gold (The Paris Letter), Manu Narayan (Bombay Dreams) and Peter Scanavino (Shining City). Jo Bonney (Some Girl(s), A Soldier's Play), who is married to Bogosian, directs."Eric Bogosian's groundbreaking and bitterly funny play subUrbia examines a day in the life of seven rootless young Americans who gather in the parking lot of a Pakistani family's convenience store," state press notes. The play, which premiered at Lincoln Center Theatre in 1994, has been updated for the production. Bogosian's other plays include Wake Up and Smell the Coffee, Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll, Talk Radio (soon to be revived on Broadway), and Drinking in America.
