Photo Coverage: Donna McKechnie: Here's to the Public! The Music of Joe Papp's Public Theater
Donna McKechnie dazzles in a 50th Anniversary Celebration of Joe Papp's Public Theater, for a series of performances at Joe's Pub. Featuring Michael James Scott, and John Eric Parker, we get treated to selections from some of the historically important musicals that were produced by The Public. Tony Award winner McKechnie takes us through songs and dances from "Hair", "Two Gentlemen Of Verona", "The Threepenny Opera", "The Mystery of Edwin Drood", "Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk", "The Human Comedy", "Runaways", "I'm Getting My Act Together And Taking it On the Road" and of course, "A Chorus Line." (You surely won't want to miss the special surprise from this show.) With great stories about many of these musicals, the evening celebrates a great tradition in New York theatre, and the great man who made them all happen.
Donna McKechnie appears for three more scheduled performances at Joe's Pub on October 10th, 17th and 24th. To purchase tickets to the 'can't-miss' performance, click here. For more information on Donna McKechnie, visit her web site at www.donnamckechnie.com.
