Award-winning playwright Steven Simoncic reunites with Pegasus Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan for the World Premiere of "Ghost Gardens". Set in Detroit, "Ghost Gardens" is the story of a pimp-turned-preacher looking for redemption, a stripper-turned nurse looking for justice and Lorelie - who just wants a baby. Simoncic and Duncan were the creative team behind both "Broken Fences" and "Heat Wave". The sneak peak of "Ghost Gardens"on March 8 is from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ancien Cycles and features a live reading of scenes from the show, Q and A with Simoncic and refreshments. The event is free, but RSVP's are required at www.PegasusTheatreChicago.org. The World Premiere of "Ghost Gardens" opens Friday, April 24 at Chicago Dramatists.

Pegasus is proud to present a concert reading of "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" on March 21st at 2pm at the Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th St., in the Film Screening Room as part of the city-wide Goodman Theatre August Wilson Celebration. Pegasus premiered the production in 1987 to critical acclaim. The Roaring Twenties made "Mother of Blues" Ma Rainey famous, but loyalties shift when her upstart trumpeter, Levee, pursues his own ambitions - wreaking havoc inside a Chicago recording studio. Acclaimed film actor and Pegasus alum Harry J. Lennix directs the concert reading. Tickets are free but reservations are required at www.PegasusTheatreChicago.org.

Goodman Theatre's The August Wilson Celebration is an unprecedented citywide exploration of August Wilson's work including concert readings, panel discussions, special events and a revival of Wilson's masterpiece, Two Trains Running. Learn more at GoodmanTheatre.org/AugustWilson.
