Olympia Dukakis Set for 'Law & Order: SVU' Episode; Airs 1/5

According to TV Guide, Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis has been cast as an attorney on the series "Law & Order: SVU." Dukakis won the Oscar in 1987 for her role in "Moonstruck."

The 79-year-old actress will now play Debby Marsh, an attorney hired to represent the son (underwear model Adam Seen) of guess star Drea de Matteo ("Desperate Housewives").

Olympia's episode, titled "Pop," is set to air on January 5 at 9 p.m. as the first episode in a two-hour block. The 10 p.m. episode will feature Emmy winner Shohreh Aghdashloo as an employee of the Brooklyn DA's office.

Dukakis has appeared on Broadway numerous times including in her own one woman show, ROSE. Other Broadway credits include SOCIAL SECURITY, WHO'S WHO IN HELL, ABRAHAM COCHRANE, and THE ASPERN PAPERS.
