N'kenge to Perform at Sing & Skate Against Breast Cancer Tomorrow

With the 2014 Winter Olympics only weeks away, a cast of former Olympians is teaming up with Broadway Star N'kenge from the musical " Motown" for the annual Sing & Skate Against Breast Cancer at Bank of America Winter Village on January 18 to benefit the Jacobi Medical Center Auxiliary. Last year the event raised over $10,000 and co-lead to the creation of Jacobi's support SHARE.

N'Kenge (whom New York Post titled "electrifying" as Mary Wells in "Motown") will be joined by several top acts like former national champion Nicole Bobek. including Olympian ice skating sensation Kimmie Meissner who was the 2006 World Figure Skating Champion.

Equally at home on the opera stage, N'Kenge has been seen in a range of opera roles including Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Musetta in La Boheme and Therese in Les Mamelles de Tiresias. N'Kenge has made solo appearances at the White House, Kennedy Center, and at the Library of Congress .

N'Kenge received a Helen Hayes Awards nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a musical for as a Diva in Marion Caffey's 3 Mo'Divas and received an Arizoni Theatre Award nomination for Best Actress for the title role in Elton John's Aida.
