Nickelodeon closed the third week of April (4/14/14-4/20/14) as the number-one basic cable net in total day with Kids 2-11 (2.7/869K, up +4% over a year ago) and total viewers (1.6M), collecting its 15th consecutive weekly win.

The network's weekly ratings win was driven by strong performances from its hit programming across animation and preschool. SpongeBob SquarePants was the number-one series with Kids 2-11 for the week, averaging a 4.6/1.5M (+35% over a year ago).

Nickelodeon also swept with its slate of hit preschool shows, landing the top five series with Kids 2-5. Paw Patrol came in first place with preschoolers, averaging a 8.1/1.0M (+76%); Wallykazam! placed second with a 7.1/880K (+61%) rating; Team Umizoomi ranked third with a 7.0/865K (+59%); Bubble Guppies was fourth with a 6.8/840K (+33%) average; and Dora the Explorer secured the fifth spot averaging a 6.3/776K (+5%).

Additionally, Nickelodeon's niche nets posted double and triple-digit year over year gains with their core demos for the week. NickToons averaged 226K total viewers (+65%) and posted a 0.6/84K with Kids 6-11 (+100%) and a 0.8/59K with Boys 6-11 (+100%). TeenNick averaged a 0.5/76K with Teens 12-17 (+150%) and 233K total viewers.

Nickelodeon, now in its 35th year, is the number-one entertainment brand for kids. It has built a diverse, global business by putting kids first in everything it does. The company includes television programming and production in the United States and around the world, plus consumer products, online, recreation, books and feature films. Nickelodeon's U.S. television network is seen in more than 100 million households and has been the number-one-rated basic cable network for 19 consecutive years
