New Horror Fiction, BLOODLUST, is Released

With the recent success of movies, television series, and books like The Twilight Saga, True Blood, and Vampire Diaries, up and coming author Kathi Huggins debuts into the publishing world with a brand new horror fiction about supernatural beings coming together to fulfill a prophecy, titled Bloodlust. Huggins' timely novel is a fruit of her passion for books about vampires, were-creatures, demons and the like.

"I have a great imagination and enjoy writing to see where a story will go from the original idea. I started this as a short story but it developed to be so much more," shares Huggins. "A good friend of mine had read the first few chapters and had wanted more, wanted to know where the story would take the characters so I continued with it until it became this full length book."

Its intricate plot follows a group of men that consists of a Jinn, a Vampire, a Shifter, a Lycan, an Angel, a Blood Demon, a Faye, an Incubus, and finally, a Jade - a female that is a mix of them all. These supernatural beings are all brought together to be mates and fulfill a prophecy that will change the way all the species live among each other. However, many among the species will do all they can to stop this prophecy from happening.

The story is set in modern time. It starts out in the demon realm and moves around to a few places before it finally settles on a mysteriously protected and remote island known only to some. The main character is Jade who is the center of the prophecy, while supporting characters, Marcus and Hawk, are her mates who she needs to fulfill that prophecy.

With the presence of a strong female lead character, with plenty of men to spice it up, and a host of different supernatural beings that allow the story to take even more variety of unexpected twists and turns, Bloodlust is a thrilling read that will grip readers from beginning to end. Huggins has creatively crafted a story that brings together all her favorite types of species into one entrancing novel.

Kathi Huggins grew up in a military family as the youngest of three children. She has lived in different places across Canada and has lived in Alberta for 18 years. She now lives outside of Calgary with her husband, two children and pet pug. Other than being a full time mom, she works full time and writes in her spare time, wanting one day for writing to be her full time job.
