FXX Off to Strong Start Prior to 'IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY,' TOTALLY BIASED Premieres

FXX, the new entertainment basic cable channel from FX Networks, got off to a good start yesterday (Sept. 2) with Primetime and Total Day deliveries that bettered prior benchmarks by FOX Soccer Channel very wide margins across the board (note: FXX replaced FOX Soccer Channel on most cable and satellite systems). The network was paced by a Parks & Recreation Labor Day Marathon from 7:00 AM-midnight.

In Primetime, compared to FOX Soccer Channel's September 2012 averages, FXX posted gains of +860% in Adults 18-34 (48,000 vs. 5,000); +536% in Adults 18-49 (70,000 vs. 11,000); and +268% in Total Viewers (81,000 vs. 22,000). Compared to FOX Soccer Channel delivery on Labor Day 2012, FXX posted gains of +500% in Adults 18-34 (48,000 vs. 8,000); +289% in Adults 18-49 (70,000 vs. 18,000); and +108% in Total Viewers (81,000 vs. 39,000).

In Total Day, compared to FOX Soccer Channel's September 2012 averages, FXX posted gains of +550% in Adults 18-34 (39,000 vs. 6,000); +315% in Adults 18-49 (54,000 vs. 13,000); and +209% in Total Viewers (68,000 vs. 22,000). Compared to FOX Soccer Channel delivery on Labor Day 2012, FXX posted gains of +1,850% in Adults 18-34 (39,000 vs. 2,000); +800% in Adults 18-49 (54,000 vs. 6,000); and +467% in Total Viewers (68,000 vs. 12,000).

Tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 4, FXX rolls out its signature original series. The comedy hit It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns for its 9th season at 10:00 PM ET/PT, and airing for 13 episodes on Wednesday nights. Starring Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito, Sunny was created by McElhenney and is executive produced by McElhenney, Day, Howerton, Michael Rotenberg, Nick Frenkel, Tom Lofaro, Rob Rosell, Scott Marder and David Hornsby. This season Sunny will celebrate the telecast of its 100th episode on Wednesday, October 9 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. The show is produced by FX Productions.

The critically-acclaimed comedy series The League returns for its 5th season at 10:30 PM ET/PT, airing 13 episodes on Wednesday nights. Created by the husband-and-wife team of Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer who serve as executive producers and directors, the ensemble cast features Mark Duplass, Stephen Rannazzisi, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, Katie Aselton and Jon Lajoie. The series is produced by FX Productions.

The acclaimed late night comedy show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell is expanding to five nights a week beginning tomorrow night at 11:00 PM E/P, airing Monday-Thursday, with best of the week "Mix Tape" compilation episodes Sunday nights at 11:00 PM ET/PT. Guests this week include Jim Gaffigan and Tracy Morgan. The half-hour show stars standup comedian W. Kamau Bell as he hilariously dissects politics, pop culture, race, religion, sex and the media from his own unique point of view. Bell, Chris Rock, Chuck Sklar and Keri Smith Esguia are Executive Producers. The show is produced by FX Productions. The show is shot in New York City before a live studio audience.
