NY Philharmonic Ensembles to Give Second Concert 11/23 at Merkin Concert Hall

The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, composed of musicians from the Orchestra, will give its second performance of the 2014-15 season on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall with a concert featuring Schnittke's Moz-Art, for Two Violins; the World Premiere of Joel Eric Suben's Piano Trio "Ballo di Corte"; Beethoven's String Trio in C minor, Op. 9, No. 3; and Schubert's String Quartet in A minor, Rosamunde, D.804.

The musicians on the program will be Acting Principal, Second Violin Group, Lisa Kim and violinists Duoming Ba, Kuan Cheng Lu, Soohyun Kwon, Joo Young Oh, and Vladimir Tsypin; violists Vivek Kamath and Re?mi Pelletier; cellists Alexei Yupanqui Gonzales, Patrick Jee, and Ru-Pei Yeh; and guest pianist Elena Kuschnerova.

Since 1984 the Philharmonic Ensembles series has presented diverse programming of both classical masterpieces and modern compositions. Ensembles concerts are also offered on the Orchestra's international and domestic tours, on separate chamber music tours, and at locations throughout New York City.
