Spotlight Theatre opens their 2011-2012 season with the classic thriller WAIT UNTIL DARK by Fredrick Knott, running through November 5 at the John Hand Theater.  One thing stands between three dangerous con men and a fortune hidden inside a child's doll: A blind women named Suzy Hendrix. What seems like an easy day's work quickly turns into a gripping game of cat and mouse as the trio leads her on a dangerous path of deceit and murder. What they didn't count on is that Suzy has a game of her own as she turns her disability into her greatest weapon.
 
Linda Suttle directs Soleil Lean as Susy Hendrix, Shane Christian as Sam Hendrix, Elisabeth Sells as Gloria, Doug Tisdale as Mike Talman, Scott Hogg as Sgt. Carlino, Chris Young as Harry Roat with Andrew Hunter and Teresa Champion rounding out the cast as Police Officers.

Frederick Knott was an English playwright, best known for writing the London-based stage thriller Dial M for Murder, which was later filmed in Hollywood by Alfred Hitchcock.
 
In 1966 WAIT UNTIL DARK was produced on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. The Director was Arthur Penn and the play starred Lee Remick who won a Tony Award nomination for her performance. The movie version, released in 1967, starred Audrey Hepburn who received an Academy Award and Golden Globe Best Actress nomination for her portrayal of Suzy Hendrix.

Spotlight Theatre opens their 2001-2012 with the classic thriller WAIT UNTIL DARK playing now through November 5. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 p.m. at The John Hand Theater, 7653 E. 1st Place, Denver.
