In ancient Greece, the symposium was a drinking party where literary works were discussed. That's exactly what happens on Monday, December 16. Learn all that will go into this year's special 15th Anniversary Midtown International Theatre Festival (running July 14 through August 10, 2014); meet John Chatterton and his staff; and enjoy some holiday refreshments in the process.

The party will be at The Barrow Group's impressive performance venue, which will also serve as the home of MITF's Commercial DiVision Productions and is in the same building as the MITF itself. The Commercial Division will showcase works displaying for-profit aspirations including legitimate off-Broadway runs. The month long run of each production is designed to give special exposure to these ambitious undertakings.

MITF XV culminates a banner year of programs that includes the Short Play Lab, Midwinter Madness, the new MITF Children's Theatre, and the Commercial Division.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. There will be a Q & A and refreshments directly after.

Prolific producer John Chatterton has been a fixture of the Manhattan theatre scene for two decades. The Midtown International Theatre Festival is a leader in presenting powerful works from around the world - and one of the best reasons to come to New York in the summer. Come and meet the staff and learn about this New York theatre tradition.
