Following yesterday's tragic news that GLEE star Cory Monteith had died at the age of 31, Matthew Morrison, Monteith's co-star on the Fox series, honored the late actor at his show at 54 Below this afternoon.

According to The New York Times, Morrison acknowledged Monteith's passing, calling him a brother, and offering his condolences. He then, at the last minute, switched his opening number to an a capella version of 'What I Did for Love' from A CHORUS LINE. The song was also performed during GLEE's second season.

"You guys came to see a show," Morrison said. "I came to perform a show, so that's what we'll do. And we'll do it in Cory's honor."
