The Poets' Theatre: Antigonick will feature Maria Dizzia, Bill Camp and Michael Chernus, directed by Sam Gold and introduced by Anne Carson at the 92Y on November 19th, 2012.

“Why does tragedy exist?” Anne Carson asked in Tragedy: A Curious Art Form. “Because you are full of rage. Why are you full of rage? Because you are full of grief.” Carson returns to 92Y’s Poetry Center to introduce a staged reading of her new translation of Sophocles’ famous tragedy. Sam Gold directs; and the dramatic reading includes actors Dizzia, Camp and Chernus.

The event takes place on Monday, November 19 at 8 pm. Tickets from $19/$10 for those 35 and younger. For tickets and information, visit www.92y.org or call 212.415.5500. 92Y is located at 1395 Lexington Ave.
