Actress Leslie Lewis will star in her One-Woman play "Miracle in Rwanda" Monday April 3rd at The New York Law School. The show is in support of the law schools "Safe Passage Project". The charity helps indigent children in Immigration Court.

Crafted by Leslie Lewis and co-creator Edward Vilga, with an uplifting message of forgiveness and compassion, Miracle in Rwanda chronicles these dramatic events through the interior life of Immaculee. The message is one of personal empowerment, of overcoming all obstacles through the power of faith and ultimately finding peace of mind amidst unbelievable hardship. Often called "our generation's Anne Frank" - yet one who thankfully survived - the true miracle of Immaculee's story is her ability to forgive.

The night will also include The law school's immigration clinic and Asian-American Law Students will honoring LoIda Lewis (Mother of Leslie Lewis and widow of American Businessman Reginald F. Lewis) for her career as an Immigration Attorney. The Honorable Mayor David Dinkins will make the presentation. And the Black law students will recognize "Miracle in Rwanda" with a presentation by Susan L. Taylor, former editor of Essence Magazine.

The New York Law school is located at 185 West Broadway New York, NY 10013
