This summer Raleigh Little Theatre presents its most comprehensive summer season yet, including a free movie series and several outdoor and indoor concerts.

"The Stephenson Amphitheatre is true gem for our community. As a performance venue, it allows us to achieve our goals to offer diverse programming and to deeply engage the community. This summer alone, you can see Shakespeare, great concerts, and a free movie series," said Patrick Torres, Artistic Director.

Bare Theatre's Macbeth (opening June 19) is the final offering in the Wherefore: Shakespeare in Raleigh series. This is the company's fourth play in the Stephenson Amphitheatre since 2012, following the success of Comedy of Errors, As You Like It and Two Noble Kinsmen.

The fourth annual Father's Day Jazz Concert is the first of four concerts offered and features three big bands. The series continues with the legendary local folk group Bloomsbury, which performs a benefit concert on July 25. Three outdoor concerts in August and September include Groove in the Garden (Love Language, Bombadil, 6 String Drag), The Connells and a Hopscotch Day Party.

Movies in the Garden is a new free series sponsored by Raleigh Brewing Company. Each Sunday from July 19 to August 9, a movie will be shown at 8pm. Interactive events start at 7pm and include a pet adoption event and a scavenger hunt on Hillsborough Street.
