Alan Charnock's ALIEN SEX COMEDY will receive a developmental reading for Lone Star Theatre Company on October 19th. The reading, directed by Bryan Hunt is part of Lone Star Theatre Co's ongoing Texas Reads series.

ALIEN SEX COMEDY is billed as a wacky, irreverent, and poignant look at the status of sex in our galaxy. With their planet on the brink of extinction, three aliens go searching for the secret to sex in the most confusing place in the universe: Earth. There they meet a UFO enthusiast, a reproductive biologist, her assistant, and an omniscient narrator - hijinks ensue.

The cast includes Cliff Miller as the captain of an Alien vessel, Zachary Gamble and Elaine Stenson as crew members, David Davila as a customer service rep for a porn site, Erin Frisbie as a scientist close to discovering a form of asexual reproduction, Drew Barksdale as her lab assistant, and Andy Ingalls as the omniscient narrator.

Lone Star Theatre Company, now in it's exciting fourth season, is dedicated to bringing Texas pages to New York stages. The Texas Reads series gives Texas writers the opportunity to have their new plays workshopped and developed by professional actors and directors in New York City.

ALIEN SEX COMEDY will be presented on Monday October 19th at 8pm at the Hourglass Tavern located at 373 W 46th street, New York, NY 10036. Admission is free, but reservations are limited. Reserve your seat here: Texas Reads: Alien Sex Comedy.
