Lady Gaga turned to Twitter on Thursday to announce that the rumors that have been circulating are indeed true - she will headline the 2017 SUPER BOWL halftime show. Check out the tweet below:

The appearance will mark her second time performing at the Super Bowl. The Grammy winner sang the National Anthem at SUPER BOWL 50 last February.

In a statement, John Entz, Fox Sports president and executive producer commented "Lady Gaga is one of the most electric performers of our generation, and we couldn't be happier with the choice to have her headline the SUPER BOWL LI Halftime Show. It is going to be an incredible night."

Added Mark Quenzel, NFL senior vp of programming and production,"Lady Gaga is one of the most iconic and talented artists of this generation. After her remarkable performance singing the National Anthem at SUPER BOWL 50, we are excited to see what she has in store for the world's biggest stage - the Pepsi Zero Sugar SUPER BOWL LI Halftime Show."

The Pepsi Zero Sugar SUPER BOWL LI Halftime Show will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston and airs on FOX Feb. 5, 2017.

Gaga's fifth studio album, Joanne, debuts Oct. 21st. She can currently be seen on the sixth installment of American Horror Story. Last year, she won a Golden Globe for her performance as the Countess on Season Five of the series.
