Broadway and professional football come together this Sunday night September 26 at 10:30 PM on FOX TV's "Sports Extra" when Dan Lauria, currently starring on Broadway in LOMBARDI, and the show's Tony Award-nominated director Tommy Kail speak with host Duke Castiglione. The show airs on Channel 5. The NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE is making its first foray on Broadway as a special producing partner of the production.

The new American play LOMBARDI stars Dan Lauria as the legendary Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi and Judith Light as his wife Marie. It began previews last night and opens on October 21 at Circle in the Square (50th Street west of Broadway). The show is produced by Tony Ponturo and Fran Kirmser.

LOMBARDI is written by Academy Award winner Eric Simonson and based on the best-selling biography When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi, by Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Maraniss. The cast also features Keith Nobbs as Michael McCormick, Bill Dawes as Paul Hornung, Robert Christopher Riley as Dave Robinson and Chris Sullivan as Jim Taylor.
