The highly anticipated 2014 Broadway revival of international mega-hit mega-musical LES MISERABLES is still a few months away from its eagerly awaited opening, but a splashy and eye-grabbing new digital marquee is already alight at the Imperial Theatre on Broadway.

As previously reported, one of Broadway's favorite houses has received a major facelift in the first week of the new year judging from the recent construction on the front of the Imperial Theatre, former original Broadway home of and soon to be revival central for LES MISERABLES 2014 - namely, the marquee - and social media images of the new marquee in all its lit-up LED glory have now emerged.

The once-standard-style florescent marquee was taKen Down last week and in its place a new hi-tech LED sign is now set to feature in the new look of the hallowed Broadway hall's artifice.

Of note, the new marquee will be in good company - the Music Box Theatre next door, similarly a Shubert house, also utilizes the new technology in its updated signage.

More information on the Imperial Theatre's history is available at the official Shubert Organization website here.
