Broadway and cabaret talents such as Chad Kimball (Lennon, Good Vibrations), Lauren Kennedy (Side Show, Les Miserables) and Christiane Noll (Jekyll & Hyde) will perform songs by the Tony Award-nominated lyricist in The Bill Russell Songbook at the Donnell Library (20 W. 53rd Street) on October 25th at 6 PM.  The concert is free.

In addition to the aforementioned stars, the evening will feature appearances by David Burnham (The Light in the Piazza), Alan Campbell (Sunset Boulevard, Contact), cabaret star Nick Cearley, Barrett Foa (Avenue Q), Marcy Harriell (Lennon, Rent), Alicia Irving (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Side Show), Chad Kimball (Lennon, Good Vibrations), cabaret star Phillip Officer and André Ward.

Russell wrote lyrics (as well as the libretto) to Henry Kreiger's music for Side Show; the two received a 1998 Tony Award nomination for Best Score for their work.  He also wrote the book and lyrics of the song cycle Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens, and did the same for off-Broadway's Fourtune and Pageant (with book and lyrics co-written with Frank Kelly).  Lucky Duck, Kept, Family Style and The Texas Chainsaw Musical are other credits.
