Twenty-three year old Katy Glorioso performs live in Lyet Lobby at the Ware Center, 42 North Prince Street, Lancaster, PA, First Friday, November 1 from 6 - 8 PM. Admission is FREE.

After a successful introduction with her Shark and A Bird EP (January 2011), Katy received the attention of Nashville recording artist/producer Jeremy Casella. With her songs in hand, Katy flew down to Nashville, TN to record with some of the best session musicians in town. What resulted was a well-produced album -- Fine and Foolish -- with astonishing songs, released just last year. From the hit worthy tracks "Am I Alright" and "Lights" to the appropriately atmospheric song "Ghost", Katy proves that she can not only write stunning songs, but can perform them too! Fine and Foolish cleverly mixes elements of pop, folk, jazz, and blues; with Katy's beautiful melodies weaving it all together. Katy's songwriting capabilities are clearly evident from the moment the record starts to the second it finishes.

With her album complete, Katy flew back to York, PA and quickly began working with a manager. She pieced together a band of highly skilled musicians and adapted the album to a live performance. Fine and Foolish released on May 19, 2012 and officially began Katy's pursuit of musical success. It didn't take long for talent buyers to take notice and, while in the "baby steps" of her career, Katy played all of the prominent clubs and venues in Central PA. such as World Cafe Live, Chameleon Club, FedLive, and Midtown Scholar.

Within a couple of months Katy Glorioso had become a well-known name in the music scene. Katy drew national attention after being named a top "artist to watch" on the trendsetting music blog: Kings of A&R. Katy has also been featured in publications such as Wood Stove House, FlipSide Magazine, and Fly magazine. She has been a showcased artist at WXPN's World Café Live in Philadelphia and has been booked to open for national touring acts including Jennifer Knapp, Jenny Owens Young, Kingsfoil, Holly Williams and John Walker (formerly of Panic at the Disco).

In between Katy's sets, dancers from the Viktor Yeliohin International Ballet Academy will be presenting excepts from their upcoming production of the "Donetsk Ballet Company of Ukraine's 21st annual Nutcracker Ballet 2013". Colorful performances featuring more than a dozen dancers will be showcased every twenty minutes in the first floor lobby of the Ware Center. Spectators can watch Katy Glorioso and the dance segments seated inside or from the street through the two story windows. Music will be broadcast to the street. Admission to both is FREE.
