Le Poisson Rouge invites you to the U.S. debut and album release concert for revered producer/composer Kate Simko and her innovative new project London Electronic Orchestra. Featuring a string quintet, harp, and guest vocalist Amunet Shah, the live set will showcase material off Kate Simko & LEO's recently released, self-titled album on The Vinyl Factory. The event is curated by established New York composer Ricardo Romaneiro, who has collaborated with a myriad of composers and performers, creating thematic concerts that blur the lines between classical and electronic music. Esteemed New York composer Justin Messina will have a bespoke piece performed, and Fiction NYC's Joe Foxton will close the evening with a DJ set. Mauricio Ceppi will perform live visuals.

Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra is a genre-bending ensemble that is a meeting of Simko's two musical worlds. Comprised of two violins, two cellos, upright bass, harp, and Kate on keys, the core ensemble summons classical music's ornate instrumentation to the dancefloor through an inimitable blend of sonorous strings and loose-grooved beats. A classically trained pianist raised in the dance music mecca of Chicago, Simko has edged to the forefront of house and techno's new generation of talent with albums and EPs for esteemed international labels such as Ghostly International, Get Physical, and Last Night On Earth, while applying her classical leanings to film scoring and a Billboard-charted remix for Philip Glass. In 2014, she completed a Master's in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music, where she formed London Electronic Orchestra.

The group's first single with Jamie Jones, "One Time Game" ft. Jem Cooke, was released in August 2015 on Jones' Emerald City imprint, followed by their debut Tilted EP and album in May on The Vinyl Factory. Their live performances include iTunes Festival in London, the National Gallery, Boiler Room, Latitude Festival, Bestival, and a recent guest appearance at the Royal Albert Hall for Classic FM.
