GRAMMY-nominated blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa contributed the song "Taxman" to "Howard Stern's Tribute to the Beatles Revolver," which is currently airing on SiriusXM's Howard 101. Bonamassa is one of 14 music acts performing all 14 tracks to celebrate the album's 50 th anniversary.

Bonamassa's rousing cover of "Taxman", kicks off the all-star tribute collaboration. Joe and his longtime producer, Kevin Shirley, wanted to enhance the authenticity of Joe's Beatles cover by performing it on ground sacred to the landmark British rock band. This left only one choice: Joe would record the cover at the iconic venue The Cavern Club in Liverpool, UK. This sacred Beatles space was the spot where the band forged its young musical identity over 50 years ago. The venue's intimacy allowed Joe and his electric blues band to ignite the energy of the packed-in crowd. Joe, along with longtime "Late Show with David Letterman" drummer Anton Fig, guitarist Russ Irwin, keyboardist Reese Wynans, and bassist Michael Rhodes recorded live at Cavern Club in Liverpool, the birthplace of the Beatles. It was produced by Bonamassa's longtime collaborator Kevin Shirley.

"The music of the Beatles has withstood over a half of a century and still surpasses any followers' attempts of recreating those sounds, and especially those songs," said Bonamassa. "'Taxman' was a blast to play live at the Cavern Club in Liverpool UK the place where it all started." George Harrison reportedly wrote the song after realizing 95 percent of his income was going to the actual taxman.

Howard Stern told Rolling Stone in a recent interview, "Revolverto me is the best album the Beatles ever did; there was nothing like it when that album came out." To celebrate it, he enlisted the help of a diverse group of world-class musicians in an exclusive special, including Bonamassa, Jewel, The Milk Carton Kids, Rachael Yamagata, James Taylor, Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, Cheap Trick, Grace Potter, Gov't Mule, Grouplove, J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., O.A.R., and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, and Living Colour.
