Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced that Tony Award® winner, two-time Grammy Award winner and two-time Academy Award® nominee Jim Dale will star in his solo show, Just Jim Dale, directed by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr.

Just Jim Dale will begin performances on Thursday, May 15 and open officially on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 46th Street). This will be a limited engagement.

In Just Jim Dale, Jim recounts an unequaled lifetime in the theater and myriad irresistible showbiz tales - from a childhood performing on the British Music Hall stage, through his many Broadway triumphs in Scapino, Barnum and Me and My Girl, to his uproarious experiences narrating all seven Harry Potter audiobooks. Candid and intimate, Just Jim Dale is an unforgettable collection of stories from Jim's breadth of theatrical work and beloved songs, including "The Colors of My Life," "The Lambeth Walk" and "Georgy Girl."

Roundabout has a long relationship with Jim, including Privates on Parade, the 1985 Tony Award winning production of Joe Egg, The Threepenny Opera and most recently, The Road to Mecca. Join Roundabout this Spring for an evening in the company of Just Jim Dale.

The previously announced production of Cutie & Bear, by Bekah Brunsetter, has been postponed. The creative team for Just Jim Dale will also feature Mark York (pianist and co-arranger), Aaron Gandy (music direction by co-arranger), Anna Louizos (sets), Rui Rita (lights) and Carl Casella (sound).

Tickets for all productions are first made available to subscribers and donors. Whether you are interested in the best value or VIP experiences, Roundabout has a package option for you. Visit roundabouttheatre.org or call 212-719-1300 for more information, or to sign up for email notification when tickets go on sale to the public.
