Jill Kargman and Michael Cerveris to Host In-Home Williamstown Theatre Festival Benefit

On the heels of its 62nd Season, Williamstown Theatre Festival announced today that Jill Kargman, the star and creator of Bravo's hit comedy "Odd Mom Out," will host a benefit musical evening with Michael Cerveris, on Monday, October 24 at 7 PM at her home.

Kargman, who appeared at WTF this summer with her one-woman show Jill Kargman: Stairway to Cabaret, will open up her Upper East Side townhouse (featured in Vogue and replicated on "Odd Mom Out") to host an evening of music by Michael Cerveris, two-time Tony Award winner and star of Broadway's Fun Home.

Tickets, priced at $500, can be purchased by phone at 413-597-4630 or online at www.wtfestival.org. Raffle tickets ($50) are also available for a chance to win a four-person visit to the set of "Odd Mom Out."

All proceeds from the evening will support artistic programming and the Professional Training Program at WTF.

Williamstown Theatre Festival recently wrapped up its 2016 summer season, with Main Stage productions that included Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei in Tennessee Williams' The Rose Tattoo, directed by Obie Award winner Trip Cullman; the world premiere of Boo Killebrew's comedy Romance Novels For Dummies, directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel and Wendy Wasserstein's An American Daughter, directed by Evan Cabnet. On the Nikos Stage this summer was the World Premiere Cost of Living by Martyna Majok, directed Obie Award winner Jo Bonney; the World Premiere sci-fi comedy thrillerThe Chinese Room by Michael West and directed by James MacDonald; the World Premiere of Craig Carnelia and Joe Tracz's musical Poster Boy, with movement by Danny Mefford and direction by Oliver Award nominee Stafford Arima and Tony and Emmy Award nominee Alfred Molina and Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee Jane Kaczmarek in the American Premiere of And No More Shall We Part by Tom Holloway, directed by Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman.

Under Artistic Director Mandy Greenfield, Williamstown Theatre Festival, recipient of the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre, creates renowned productions of both world premiere plays as well as revivals of some of the great works of the Western theatrical canon. Since 1955, Williamstown Theatre Festival has brought together gifted emerging theater artists with our country's finest theater professionals to produce a vibrant summer season in the Berkshires, while simultaneously running one of the country's top training and professional development programs. In 2015, the Festival launched a New Play Commissioning Program as well as a community-immersive theatre initiative, which unites professional theater artists with Berkshire residents to create new work. Playwrights under commission include Fernanda Coppel, Melissa James Gibson (co-commission with Second Stage), Halley Feiffer, Matthew Lopez, Jiehae Park, Benjamin Scheuer and Lucy Thurber. Additionally, each summer the Festival produces an array of unique cultural events including family-friendly theater, Late-Night Cabarets, music concerts and comedy. The artists and productions shaped at the Festival each summer fill theaters in New York, around the country and abroad.
