Jennifer Cody Joins NYC SHREK THE MUSICAL WORKSHOP 5/17

Shrek The Musical WORKSHOP, Award-winning Acting Studio for kids and teens welcomes Broadway star, Jennifer Cody & Jane Fucillo of Shirley Grant Management

In 2001 the world was introduced to the animated loveable ogre, Shrek. The first movie to ever win the Academy Award for best Animated Feature Film and one of the most profitable movie franchises in cinematic history has successfully made the leap from the silver screen to the to the Great White Way!

It is with great pleasure that New York's fastest growing, award-winning acting studio for kids and teens, A Class Act NY has recently announced that Broadway veteran and cast member of Shrek, Jennifer Cody and Jane Fucillo of Shirley Grant Management, one of the tri-state areas most prestigious youth management firms is offering a one-day Shrek master class.

"In recent years there has been a new trend on Broadway," noted Jessica Rofé, Artistic Director of A Class Act NY. "More and more producers are taking hit animated films and transferring them to the stage. It's challenging to take iconic animated characters such as Shrek and Princess Fiona and successfully transition them to life in another medium the way they have with this production. That's why we are so pleased to have Jennifer Cody work with our students on how to build strong characters and make bold choices."

Lucky participants will work on scene work, songs and a dance combination from their favorite musical. Towards the end of the day, Jane Fucillo of Shirley Grant Management will conduct a mock audition in which kids will have the opportunity to strut their stuff and get constructive criticism from a distinguished industry player.
