ENCORE! An Evening Celebrating Theatre, featuring special guest Jean Louisa Kelly (Mr. Holland's Opus, The Fantasticks) will be held at Conejo Players Theatre in Thousand Oaks, CA, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 -- and includes entertainment, dinner, awards, a first-rate auction, and a VIP Champagne Reception.

Conejo Players Theatre will host what's sure to be an unforgettable evening, honoring both the theatre's rich history of vibrant shows and talented performers, and three recipients of the theatre's Arts Advocate Awards. Nominations for these prestigious awards -- the Legacy, Civic, and Youth Advocate Awards -- are collected from the community at large, and they will be presented as part of this event.

CPT has been a stalwart arts organization in Thousand Oaks for almost 60 years -- and is one of its foremost hidden gems. Founded in 1958 with a "Let's start a theatre!" attitude, a meager treasury, and a handful of volunteers that built a stage in a barn, the theatre is thriving today. They are an all-volunteer organization, with a yearly seven-show season that serves more than 12,000 patrons.

Deidre Parmenter, CPT President, explains the motivation for the event: "As Conejo Players Theatre enters it's 59th year, we are interested in introducing more of our community members to this special theatre, so that they too can enjoy the magic of live theatre -- at an affordable price!"
