When the Original LGBT Expo (http://thelgbtexpo.com), the largest and longest-running LGBT convention in the nation, returns to New York's Jacob Javits Convention Center, September 9th and 10th, it will have a new neighboring event - the debut of RuPaul's DragCon NYC.

While this is the 24th year for the Original LGBT Expo (and the first time it's taking place in the Fall), this will be the first DragCon hosted in the Big Apple following the massive success of the event in Los Angeles over the past three years.

The Original LGBT Expo will also feature complimentary admission for the first time ever. Attendees must pre-register at http://thelgbtexpo.com/tickets. Sponsored by a variety of well-known companies (Foresters Financial, United Airlines, Lufthansa, and Visit Key West to name a few), the LGBT Expo will feature over 200 participating companies in over 100,000 square feet of space where attendees can shop with curated retail vendors or just browse from companies representing various industries including travel, wedding, non-profit, entertainment, small business, family services and many more.

The always educational and entertaining seminar series will take place in multiple rooms throughout the weekend. Nationally-known speakers will cover all of the current pressing topics facing the LGBT community including political issues, financial and family planning, lifestyle, travel, entertainment and much more. Also featured is the live entertainment stage, produced by Kurfew Entertainment, featuring live performances from a huge variety of acts, from Broadway and beyond.

Spearheaded by RuPaul and World of Wonder Productions, RuPaul's DragCon provides a platform for an expected attendance of 40,000 to 60,000 fans - of all ages and backgrounds - to meet and interact with world-renowned celebrities and drag queens in a creative, friendly and accessible environment.

"We were ecstatic right off the bat when we were first contacted by the Javits Center about DragCon also taking space at the convention center," said Jay Handy, Executive Producer of Life Out Loud Events, producers of the LGBT Expo. "Opportunities like this only come once in a lifetime and the idea of having 60,000-80,000 LGBT Community members all being under the roof at one time is pretty amazing."

The 24th Original LGBT Expo NYC takes place September 9th and 10th at the world-famous Jacob Javits Convention Center, 655 W. 34th Street, New York, NY, 10001. Hours for the Original LGBT Expo are Noon to 8pm on Saturday, September 9th and Noon - 6pm on Sunday, September 10th.
