Miller Theatre's Concert to Benefit Japan Earthquake Relief is sold out. Tickets for the March 27 event went on sale Wednesday afternoon at 4:30pm and were no longer available for purchase by 11pm. Due to fire code regulations, Miller Theatre will be unable to accommodate standing room and will not be running a stand by line or wait list. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Japan Society's Earthquake Relief Fund.

Other Japan earthquake relief events are being planned in New York City. John Zorn, who organized and will host the event at Miller Theatre, has also helped organize benefits at the Abrons Arts Center on April 8, and the Japan Society on April 9.

The lineup for the Abrons Arts Center event includes two concerts-one at 6:30pm and another at 9pm-and will feature performances by Grammy award-winner Norah Jones, Jesse Harris, Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Ikue Mori, John Zorn, Vinicius Cantuaria, Masada String Trio, Buke & Gass, among others. Tickets are $35-50.

Confirmed performers for the gala blocks include Philip Glass & Hal Willner, Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson & John Zorn, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Bill Laswell & gigi band. Tickets are $100 per gala block.
