Italian orchestra conductor Giacomo Loprieno was fired after telling children that Santa Claus doesn't exist after a performance of Disney's 'Frozen.' Children broke out in tears after the announcement.

Parents took to Facebook to declare their outrage, saying: "What happened that evening was outrageous ... I am angry at myself for having applauded him."

The organizers in their turn issued a statement, saying: "Like all those who were present, we remain bewildered by this personal declaration by the conductor after the event ended.

The conductor has been replaced by Marco Dallara, who is shown posing with Santa in the photo on Facebook.
