INVISTA to Introduce Fall 2014 Global Denim Collection at Kingpins Shows

INVISTA will introduce its global denim concept collection for autumn/winter 2014/2015 along with a sneak preview of the images for its new denim marketing platform at the Kingpins Shows in Los Angeles (July 9-10) and New York (July 16-17). With looks ranging from feminine to rugged, and vintage to clean, the collection encompasses innovative garments highlighting INVISTA's key technologies for denim, including LYCRA dualFX fabric, TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabric, COOLMAX All Season fabric and the latest trend right styles with LYCRA fiber. With the overall theme of "Pickture Your Denim", visitors to the INVISTA stand will be asked to select their favorite garments made with fabrics from INVISTA's key mill customers. The garments are arranged under three key groupings: 1) Pickture Your Denim: For Her, 2) Pickture Your Denim: For Him, and 3) Pickture Your Denim: For All.

The first theme, Pickture Your Denim: For Her, encompasses fabrics that celebrate the feminine mystique. Jeans in skinny and slim fits are enhanced with embossing, folkloric details, and eastern inspired prints. Other featured styles include pink, "cotton candy" denim, and sequined or beaded trims. Many of the fabrics in this collection feature LYCRA dualFX fabric technology, which combines LYCRA fiber and LYCRA T400 fiber in a single yarn, resulting in super stretch denims that keep their shape. "A wide variety of brands from around the world have discovered the benefits of this technology and are integrating these fabrics into their core styles," says Jean Hegedus, INVISTA's global segment leader for denim. The second theme, Pickture Your Denim: For Him, features rugged fabrics in black, ash and traditional blue denim reflecting a strong, masculine feel. TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabrics illustrate the benefits of strong, yet lightweight, denim with comfort stretch that can be worn in a variety of occasions, ranging from work to play. COOLMAX All Season and THERMOLITE fabrics provide thermal comfort for cold days. Woven denims that look like knits, and knit denims that look like wovens, round out the collection-and reflect the emerging category of performance denim.

The final theme, Pickture Your Denim: For All, represents fabrics that know no boundaries, working equally as well for womenswear as for menswear: simple denim structures with clean finishes, vintage styles, camouflage looks updated with overprinting, as well as waxed and leather looks. These styles feature LYCRA fiber for high quality stretch and recovery. "The inclusion of LYCRA fiber in these fabrics provides the consumer with the best of both worlds-the latest styling, along with the comfort and performance that consumers desire," Hegedus said.

INVISTA will also preview exciting new images for some of its key technology platforms including LYCRA fiber, LYCRA dualFX fabric, and TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabric. Each platform represents a customized stretch and recovery solution for different denim garment types and audiences. The platform creative was developed by Britta Redecker Communications (Hamburg, Germany), and features jeans with the various LYCRA technologies modeled by Leo Vlasic and Marlena Szoka, and photographed by Stephan Abry. Unique light motifs highlight the style, fit and freedom of movement made possible by the LYCRA brand.
