Broadway regular Dee Hoty has been cast alongside Tom Aldridge in the George Street Playhouse's production of 2 Lives. The Arthur Laurents (Gypsy, West Side Story) play will run from October 18th through November 13th at the theatre in New Brunswick, NJ (9 Livingston Ave.).

The play takes place "in an almost magical private park on Long Island. Matt Singer, a playwright in his 70s, happily works away at his latest script, reading his newest pages to longtime partner Howard Thompson — until their weekend plans are suddenly ended by an unexpected, shocking event." Aldredge will play Matt in the show, while Hoty will portray Nerissa. The show will also feature Joanne Camp as Willi, Jessica Dickey as Maryanne, Gerrit Graham as Leo and James Sutorius as Howard.

James Youmans (scenic design), Theoni V. Aldredge (costume design) and David Lander (lighting design) make up the 2 Lives design team.

Hoty is a three-time Tony-nominee--for Footloose, The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public and The Will Rogers Follies. Other Broadway credits include Mamma Mia!, City of Angels, Me and My Girl and Shakespeare's Cabaret. Recently, Hoty has played several stints on the regional theatre circuit; she played Desiree in the Pittsburgh CLO's A Little Night Music and Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes at Theatre Under the Stars in Houston.

Aldredge (who is married to costume designer Theoni), is a five-time Tony Award-nominee--for Twentieth Century, Passion, The Little Foxes, Where's Charley? and Sticks and Bones. Other Broadway credits include the revivals of The Crucible, Inherit the Wind and 1776, Two Shakespearean Actors and Into the Woods, in which he originated the role(s) of the Narrator/Mysterious Man.
