Hotsy Totsy Burlesque to Pay Tribute to MAD MEN at the Slipper room, 8/27
Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum wants more burlesque in their advertising, so who better to implement this than Don Draper and the fine folks at SCDP! The agency stops by the Slipper Room, again! They came out for Pete Campbell's bachelor party in the very first episode, but this time, they take over the whole place, and the whole show. What could possibly go wrong?
Co-producers Cherry Pitz and Joe the Shark are delighted to be paying tribute to AMC's award winning series, Mad Men.
Hosted by CHERRY PITZ & HANDSOME BRAD as Don Draper.
Featuring performances by:
ANGELIQUE A'LAMODE as Peggy Olson
BUNNY BUXOM as Joan Harris
IVORY FOX as Megan Draper
MR. GORGEOUS as Pete Campbell
CHERRY PITZ as Herself
SCHAFFER THE DARKLORD as Roger Sterling
CLARA COQUETTE will be keeping everything neat and tidy, while SAPPHIRE JONES will warm up the audience as Betty Francis.
Following on the footsteps of Hotsy Totsy Burlesque's successful The Big Lebowski, Doctor Who, Harry Potter and Star Wars 1978 Holiday Special tribute shows, Cherry Pitz and Joe the Shark present a burlesque tribute to AMC's masterful series, Mad Men. In 2013, TV Guide ranked Mad Men sixth in its list of the sixty greatest dramas of all time, and it was ranked seventh in a list of the 101 best-written TV series of all time by the Writers Guild of America. How can you not be interested in what a burlesque tribute of this show would be?!?!?
Hotsy Totsy Burlesque is New York's only episodic, monthly burlesque show featuring a different script each month and a rotating cast. The performers promise you beautiful, clothing-averse women, lots of laughs, spinning tassels, and flying underpants. So join us for Hotsy Totsy Burlesque at The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women where the motto is "We've fallen, we can't get up, and we like it that way!"
