"Hot Mamas" In Concert on Mother's Day at Ars Nova

Ars Nova proudly presents HOT MAMAS! The Mother Of All Cabarets, featuring three soon-to-be mothers—Alisa Klein, Sandy Rustin and Jessica Walling singing new songs about their experiences being "with child." Songs include "While I Wait," "To The Mothers," "Old Mister Labor Pain," "Lullaby (You Will Know Him)" and "Wide Awake" (music and lyrics by Gavin Creel.) Directed by Tesha Buss with musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, HOT MAMAS! The Mother Of All Cabarets will be on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8 at 7 PM at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street).

Alisa Klein (due to give birth in September) has appeared on Broadway in the original Broadway cast of Thoroughly Modern Millie (Alice/Miss Flannery understudy), Grease! (Frenchy), and in the original cast of Disney's Beauty And The Beast (Silly Girl/Babette understudy). Off-Broadway she was seen as Sharon in Even Steven. Other credits include Carousel and She Loves Me (Paper Mill Playhouse), Romance/Romance (Fulton Opera House) and Lady In The Dark (Prince MusicTheatre).

SANDY RUSTIN (due in August). Her Off-Broadway credits include Modern Orthodox (Dodger Stages), I Love You,You're Perfect, Now Change (Westside Theatre), Jolson & Company (Century Center), Sarah, Plain and Tall (Lucille Lortel), and Neil Simon's Hotel Suite (Roundabout). Her regional:credits include Sandy in Grease (National Tour) and Wendy in Peter Pan (Syracuse Stage).

Jessica Walling (due in June) appeared on Broadway as Miep Gies in the Tony-nominated revival of The Diary of Anne Frank. Other New York appearances include the Off-Broadway musicals A Child's Garden and Rex. She has worked at regional theaters around the country, in many productions, including: Man and Superman (Portland Center Stage), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Idaho Shakespeare Festival), Heartbreak House (Alliance Theater Company), and A Little Night Music (Ordway),to name a few.
