Sing us a song of a piano man, Gleeks. Tonight, the Gleeks sing us a song of Billy Joel, the piano man himself steps into the spotlight as the seniors begin planning their futures and some have that New York State of Mind. It's time to move it out, tonight, Gleeks. So, Piano Man - do you know Rose's Turn?

It's Career Week at William McKinley High, and Sue is determined to show the kids of McKinley the careers they could possibly have, while Will is upset that there's no fine arts representation. With the careers in the arts ignored, Will focuses the glee club to know that despite the fact that careers in the arts are not security guarantees, he assures them that if you love and believe in your passion, you can do it. With that in mind, Mr. Schue gives a nod to the two seniors going for it in the big city - Blaine and Sam. With a theme of Billy Joel, a man who struggled for years in his pursuit of the arts, Blaine and Sam kick it off with "Movin Out (Anthony's Song)" and move it on out to New York to pursue their passions. Artie confronts Becky about her lack of future plans, but Sue sways him away and stops the conversation, while tensions are high between Marley and Jake after his cheating with Bree. In New York, Kurt builds up Blaine's confidence for his big NYADA audition by having him perform "Piano Man" at Spotlight.

Artie presents Becky with options for her future, but Becky bites back and tells him to stay out of her life. Ryder confronts Jake about how he hurt Marley, but Jake is not remotely interested in hearing about it because he's being the "real" Jake Puckerman. Hitting the glee club floor, Jake sings "My Life" to show that he's just being himself and it's his life, and he'll make all the choices no matter what. Sam has his interview with Hunter College, but pretty much bombs it, but a heart to heart with Rachel opens up Sam's desire to be a male model. With Rachel's persistence, the pursuit of making Sam's male modeling dreams come true is on! America's next top male model is in the making, y'all! Artie gives Becky a little "Honesty" and attempts to help her realize that she really does want to go to college, and with a little Artie hugging and wisdom, it seems like Becky's future is finally on the move.

Marley has some girl chat with her mom about how she misses Jake, but also hates him at the same time for cheating on her and pushing her too hard to lose her virginity. Mama Rose gives Marley some in sight about making her first time special, since she can't get that back. In New York, Sam has his photo shoot with help from Rachel, and things seem to be looking up in the modeling department for Sam. Sue calls Artie to her office, and reveals that she's been holding the reigns too tight with Becky out of fear, causing Artie to call her out on it, surprising Sue and getting her to open up a little. Ryder jumps on the chance to date single Marley, while Marley is not quite ready, Ryder isn't giving up. Channeling his inner BJ (hello, Billy Joel - come on, people) sings "An Innocent Man" to show Marley that he's a good guy and deserves a chance. After the performance, Ryder asks Marley out again, this time she accepts, much to Jake's dismay causing him to bolt out of the choir room.

Kurt assists Blaine in prepping for his NYADA audition, which prompts Blaine to admit to having doubts about his future as a performer and mentions a love of teaching and medicine, but Kurt sees right through it. With a little pep talk from his fiancée, Blaine's fears begin to subside as his NYADA audition approaches. Artie takes Becky to the University of Cincinnati and it seems like Becky may have found exactly where she needs to be, while Sam meets with Bitchette (Tyra Banks) about his male modeling dreams, and is less than impressed when Bitchette rips into him and tells him to lose ten pounds.

Sam and Blaine donate a piano to the loft, and Santana laments about the constant singing around the place. When Sam seems poised to follow Bitchette's losing ten pounds idea, Blaine, Kurt, Rachel, and yes, even Santana break out into "Just the Way You Are". Are those sparks between Sam and Rachel? Hm, we shall see. Sue calls Becky to her office, and Becky reveals that she loved what she saw in Cincinnati, and Sue slowly begins to lighten the reigns - but not without helping Becky achieve her goals first.

Ryder relishes in the post-first date glory, while Marley isn't quite ready to commit to anything long term, and Jake's obnoxious big pimping doesn't help things. Sue gives in and sets up an arts booth for career week, but Sue's sarcasm toward the arts is shut down by the return of Blam with exciting news from New York - Blaine crushed his NYADA audition and Sam is pursuing his male modelling no matter what. When Sue questions their sanity, the New Directions break out in "You May Be Right" and send the hallways into a Billy Joel influence dance party.

So, Gleeks - did hear that song of the Piano Man or did you think we might you be crazy? It's time to move it out, but next week - Puppets! The debut gig of Pamela Landsbury! What does the Fox say?! Oh yes, Gleeks - it's a Gleesgiving to remember. Until then - what does the Gleek say?
