GSN announced today that its popular new original series, THE CHASE, will return for a second heart-pounding season tonight, November 5th at 8 P.M. ET/PT.

The series premiered on GSN on August 6, 2013 -while the network, confident of the show's success, had already ordered eight episodes for season two prior to its season-one premiere. The one-hour show, in which three contestants battle in a fast-paced quiz competition against an all-knowing opponent, The Beast, is produced by ITV Studios America.

Currently airing Tuesdays at 9 P.M. ET/PT, the series premiere garnered double and triple digit growth in key demos for the time period with a cumulative audience of nearly 1 million viewers tuned in to back-to-back episodes of the game show.

Based on the hit U.K. show of the same name, GSN's THE CHASE is hosted by actress and television host Brooke Burns, known for her starring roles on "Baywatch" and "Melrose Place" and for her hosting duties on the game show "Dog Eat Dog" (now airing on GSN). She was last seen in the starring role of the Lifetime movie "A Sister's Revenge."

Joining Burns on the show as the formidable Beast is Mark Labbett, one of the original "Chasers" in the UK version and-at 6'7" and 370 lbs, with degrees from Oxford, Exeter and Glamorgan universities-a quiz giant in every way.

About THE CHASE

You can run, but you cannot hide, The Beast is always coming after you. In THE CHASE, a team of three contestants attempts to amass as much money as possible by answering quick-fire questions in a 60-second round. The money earned will go towards a team bank. Why the urgency? Because The Beast is always lurking, ready to pounce. The Beast - quite simply -- is a quiz genius. The job of this intimidating presence is to catch each contestant by answering more questions than his opponents to ensure they are not able to bank their money. It's a role he executes with ruthless efficiency. In the final round, the teammates who have survived the initial chase collectively play against TheBeast in an Epic David vs. Goliath battle for the entire amount that they have banked.

THE CHASE is produced by ITV Studios America with Bob Boden, Martin Scott and Michael Kelpie serving as Executive Producers.
