Full casting has been announced for Anne Washburn's The Internationalist, starring previously announced "Law & Order" star Annie Parisse and Zak Orth.  Previews are set to begin October 19; the show opens November 7 at the Vineyard Theatre, which will kick off its 2006-2007 season with the play.

In The Internationalist, "a young American businessman is met at the airport by a beautiful female colleague, setting off a series of unforgettable and unforeseen experiences in a country where he does not speak the language. The play is a darkly funny exploration of what it means to be an American abroad."

Liam Craig (Trouble in Paradise), Gibson Frazier (Heddatron), Nina Hellman (Trouble in Paradise), and Ken Marks (Stuff Happens) will also star in the show, which has set design by Andromache Chalfant, costume design by Michelle R. Phillips, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, and sound design by Robert Kaplowitz.

Parisse plays A.D.A Alexandra Borgia on "Law & Order."  Other film and TV credits include Monster-in-Law, National Treasure, "Friends," How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and "Third Watch."  Off-Broadway, she has been seen in Monster, The Credeaux Canvas and Misalliance.

Orth has been seen on Broadway in Major Barbara.  Most recently, he starred Off-Broadway in Rope, and has also appeared in A Place at the Table, The Eros Trilogy, Misalliance, and SubUrbia.

Washburn's other plays include Apparition, The Ladies and The Communist Dracula Pageant.  Her works have been produced or developed by Actors Theater of Louisville, Annex, Cherry Lane Theatre, The Civilians, Dixon Place, Naked Angels, New York Theatre  Workshop, The Public, Soho Rep, the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and the Off-Off Broadway company 13P of which Ms. Washburn is an Associate Artist.
